Series Two costume index

My research into the First Doctor’s costume continues with Series Two.

Until putting this together I hadn’t picked up on The Doctor continuing to wear a cloak he purloined from Revolutionary France at the end of the previous series.

I guess I’ve been watching random stories out of sequence, and hadn’t seen The Reign Of Terror that often due to the missing episodes.

  1. Has no one found any color photographs of The Web Planet filming? That one-off waistcoat really interests me, with it apparently having a fly-front.

Also, I think it has four pockets. In that third picture you can see a third pocket on our left side.

    1. The closet thing to color pictures I have seen are the cover for The Doctors Revisited & in Adventure in Space and Time. The waistcoat appears to be a dark blue & the cravat is a bright blue

  2. For the first episode of "The Crusades," the a doctor wears his black vest rather than his cream one. The clothing provided him by King Richard consists of a black surcoat over a diamond-pattern shirt and white tunic, with an appliqué-patterned cloak with golden trim worn over the ensemble. There aren't any full-length shots that extend below the hem or the surcoat, but historically he would have been wearing either hose or tailored leggings.
